Posting this using Opera 9.64 in a Puppy Linux 4.2 operating system.
Open a terminal and type:
modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x1003
This prevents the Huawei E220 modem from being detected as a USB storage device.
Then edit or create /etc/wvdial.conf and add this to the very beginning of the document:
[Dialer sun]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Baud = 460800
Init1 =
Init2 = ATZ
Carrier Check = yes
Dial Command = ATDT
Phone = *99#
Username = MY2USERNAME
Password = MY2PASSWORD
Stupid Mode = yes
Auto Reconnect = yes
wvdial is the application that puppy uses to connect to the internet using a modem. This also might be working in other distros that can have wvdial. More information about wvdial here.
Go to Menu -> Network -> PupDial. Click on Connect to the Internet under Account 1
You are connected when it says:
–> Carrier detected. Starting PPP immediately.
–> Starting pppd at Thu Apr 16 07:30:11 2009
–> pid of pppd: 10101

I live with brothers. One is straigh the other is gay. Let’s call them Gay Brother and Straight Brother. Just recently Straight Brother got interested in one of my gay friends (let’s call her Gay Friend). Straight Brother wanted the number Gay Friend so I gave the number. I never expected that they’d be a couple on the same day!
The next day Gay Brother found out and the brothers had a big fight. The fight was ended with Straight (not anymore) Brother leaving the house.
Gay brother has had his share of sexual encounters with both gay and straight men. He may have also offended the siblings (straight or not) of the people he has taken advantage of.
Gay brother’s message to Gay friend through Middleman Friend, verbatim:
Middleman friend, Gay Brother to. I just wanna let you know that I am mad with your friend Gay Friend. Tinanggap ko siya ng tao sa bahay ko tapos pati kapatid ko papatusin niya! Pakisabi na lang.
Those are strong words but does he have a right to get angry? Who’s side are you on?
Straight Brother’s message to Gay Brother using Gay Friend’s number through Middleman Friend:
Middleman Friend pakisabi sa magaling kong kapatid na wala na siyang pakialam sa akin. Ginusto ko to at wala siyang pakialam. At kapag inaway niya si Gay Friend kakantiin ko siya.
Straight Brother has a point. It’s his life and he can do whatever he wants. And although I don’t approve of their relationship, I am on his side.
In a nutshell:
I was looking all over Megamall for the Canon Ixus 100 IS digital camera knowing that it was launched in the Philippines sometime February. I was so excited that I am willing to go hungry in the next weeks just to buy it today. I went from Mega A – Mega B and lower ground to fifth floor and found no sign of it, not even brochures. As a last resort, I called the Makati Canon office through my cell and lady said it won’t be here until the first week of April. It’s suggested retail price is 2,1950. I can’t wait that long! I bought a ribbed square-cut sando instead. 
UPDATE March 26. Two to three days after this post the Ixus 100 came out in Canon Megamall. I got mine at 19,950. You have to haggle like in palengkes
